Mullen has received 22 Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Mullen has worked on numerous side projects during his career. In 1990, he produced the Ireland natonal football team's song "Put 'Em Under Pressure" for the 1990 FIFA World Cup. In 1996, he worked with U2 bandmate Adam Clayton on a dance re-recording of the "Theme from Mission: Impossible”. Larry’s eldest son has dyslexia.
